I love this version of this hymn. I think he did a good job! The collage of pictures that the video composer put together isn't too bad, either. I have an idea for a piano version of this, but I don't know how to do it! How frustrating!

Penn State riot post 2
okay, there was supposed to be some comments that went along with the video, however, they didn't transfer so I'll put them here. First of all....
WARNING: while the language in the video is, for the most part, good, you can in a couple of spots hear the camera man swear. The beginning of the video is as far as I can tell clean, so if you want to hear what the crowd sounds like and then turn it down some, then you can do that.
My dad and I missed this riot by about 5 minutes. We went downtown to see what the town was like after the football game was over. Apparently, 'peaceful celebration' lasted about 10 min, then turned ugly. When we drove down Beaver Ave, which for all of you non-townies, is the place where most of these sort of nefarious undertakings occur, there was as you can see in the video, a human tunnel big enough for one car to pass at a time. They acted like they were going to rock our truck, but it was (thankfully) half-hearted. Thankfully especially since my dad had lawn equipment and gasoline in the back. We high-fived them as we drove along as we figured it was better to pretend that we were as happy as they were in order just to get out of there. One guy reached in and messed up my hair and the passenger mirror was pushed in, but for the most part, we got out of there before the mayhem broke loose. Actually, I don't think the 'riot' had actually broken out in the video yet either. I'll post some more vids, or you can go on YouTube and type in 'PSU riot'. Also the local paper, The Centre Daily, has photos of the events with descriptions. I recommend checking out their website, http://www.centredaily.com

Tis the season.........
Sorry for the break in blogging, I always mean to get back to blogging and somehow always find somthing else to do. Any of you that have a blog will understand.....or maybe you're one of those people that actually do update regularly!
well, it is the season here in my valley when tons (+42,000) students return to college. Unfortunaely one can expect empty walmart shelves (especally yogurt, cereal, and cleaning supplies), longer lines at your favorite restaurant and unfortunately, bad attitudes. My dad had the flying bird waved at him as he was driving OUT of town last night as a 'kind' soul decided to pull out in front of him. I'll try to get pics of the chaos today and tomorrow. I have a new camera phone, so I'd like to see if i can download pics from there somehow as a phone is a lot better at taking candid shots than a camera is. I'll keep you posted......no....really ;-)
